One of my best friends is ignoring me right now, because I wasn't thoughtful enough of him over the Christmas season. It's been over a week now and he won't return my calls.
The issue is that noone offered to help him move over the holidays, but the reality of it is, that every time I tried to phone him, he wouldn't pick up. I didn't know when he was moving, and he never informed me or asked for assistance. He just expects that I should have offered.
Also, he left a nasty message on my phone saying that I shouldn't be using HIS race stands on my motorcycle while his sits on the ground getting flat spots on the tires. He want's me to now buy him new tires, or pay him rent for the stands.
#1- I didn't even realize my bike was on the stand. (It's parked out of town in a shop we both rent, and I accidentally left it on there when I did my last oil change.)
#2- Why didn't he just take it off and put his on, or at least ask me nicely.
#3- I didn't realize this was going to be such a big deal.
#4- He never rode his bike all last summer, and it just sat around getting flat spots then, plus he's planning on selling it anyways, so what's the big deal.
#5- I offered to buy the stands from him numerous times in the past, but he has yet to take me up on that offer.
#6- Nothing is going to get resolved if he won't talk to me.
This is really wrecking me. I've never been treated like this by a friend before, and it really hurts.
Blah.
