Mark Ryden is possibly the most successful (financially) pop-surreal artist in this country. which is odd in a way due to the fact that much of his inspiration is born of personal disaster and hardship.

ohio is.... just really uncool. i know that a lot of people probably think that about a place if theyve lived there their entire lives. but i dont know a single person who has ventured outside of the state and not realized that it completely sucks balls. theres just nothing to do, ever, and most towns are socially & politically stuck in the 1950s. the big cities have more to offer, but they dont have that charm and that electricity that ive sensed in other placces.
ho well. ill stop my bitching
