I have been busy as of late. I got a sinus cold. My roomate came back, making me quite happy. Best reunion ever.

I went out with friends last night. I went to a bar I normally don't go to called Capsule. I was surprised to see that the jukebox has Cocteau Twins, Mogwai, Yo La Tengo, Broacast, and Soviet as some of the various...

Ascended master? Now I gotta be friends with an ascended master? That's bullshit, man.

I'll assume you've read Magister Ludi by Hesse. You certainly share his style.

If I'm correct, Richard Matheson wrote teleplays for The Twilight Zone. Specifically, I remember that he wrote The Mosters Are Due on Maple Street. Have you read this? I haven't read it in years, but I bet it would feel all too true these days.

We read Childhood's End in ninth or tenth grade. Fucking Royalton Masons. Was A. Joy still there when you were there? My fav NR teacher.

Fuck you, we need to have a beer.

so I have made a decision to put most of my effort into a graphic novel called
"Ether Real Love".

About a boy name Avril who locks his keys in his car and apartmen, walks to get a spares set of keys (from roomate), cuts through a cemetery, sees an old grave stone, becomes infatuated with it. Spends days learning about the mysterious girl named...

As far as Pale Saints go, Ian Masters era Saints is the best (from "Barging Into the Presence of God" up to "In Ribbons").

The concept there sounds great, especially black and white. There is something about the absence of color that makes me pay more attention to the words, and the moods it can bring.

My AES acquisions list is as follows:

KOF: 1994, 1998, 2002, 2003
Real Bout Fatal Fury: 2
Art of Fighting: 2
Metal Slug: 3, 4, 5
Rage of Dragons
Kizuna Encounter
Marmilee
Mark of the Garou
Samurai Shodown 5 Special
Baseball Stars Professional
World Heroes 2: Perfect, Jet
Aggressors of Dark Combat

Third Strike is fabulous, by the way.

God, I love 2D fighting games so much. I was playing SFIII: Second Impact, because my Third Strike does not like my DC bootdisk, and remembered how much I love the SF III series.

Then I played KOF 2002 and my thumbs eventually became sore from stick handling. I am giddy with anticipation for my AES.

Oh, I forgot to add that I own the ungoodly large controller for Steel Battalion and the game as well.

I cannot wait for the multiplayer version to be released stateside, I only have to buy the game and hope I can get Xbox Live.

today we talk about old school anime. Big freaking rant too.

As of now im Intoxicated on smirnoff and longing for something unknown and nostalgic, I popped in my Robot Carnival soundtrack that I have had since the early 90's. While I can not be pompus and arrogant about being "old school" when it comes to anime (compared to Japanese fans), I can say in...

I would actually disagree with all Western animation being complete toilet humor. Much of it can be seen as surreal, mainly things like 2 Stupid Dogs, SpongeBob, Ren and Stimpy, Rocco's Modern Life, The New Adventures of Mighty Mouse. Addtionally it has more cultural aspects that cannot occur from Japan so I find it more relevant in some aspects.

Of course the same argument can be used against feverant manga fans who think all Western comics are superhero tales because they never bothered to check out indy anthologies or small press releases.

So I have word that my best friend is coming back from Florida. This serves me well as I have become lonely without her company, and the bills are somewhat overwhelming. Last two weeks I have worked somewhere around
60 hours. As always I am keeping best spirit since being silly and whinny about it iseems redundant. I do what I can by taking notice...

Best time of the day is the morning. Why because sky is exactally how I feel. mostly gray, kinda pink, typically blue. My best artwork is always done in the morning. So at the moment I am charged in inspiration.

I did happen to fall across some sets by Rose. I must confess. She posted some of the best poses I have seen. The foreshortening.....

Zarina - Check back often, I will post some good ones from somethingawful.com in future journals. Also I must plug that site because a) i found out about suicidegirls from them, and b) there message boards have some of the funniest people.

Paul - As always thanks. the link was nice. Some of the stuff done looks more like manipulation with Kais powertools.

Voltaire - thanks for the compliment. I like my lifes soundtrack.

So the president is announcing plans to put a base on the Moon and a visit to the planet Mars. This whole announcement has me conflicted because I feel we could really use that money for current help with todays economy, but then again I keep hearing rumors that this will bring in new industry based on (and this is speculation) our government releasing into...
