SO this weekend was pretty awesome
Friday I went into the city with Maggie, Brian & Kelsey. We went to The Darkroom cuz Ive heard Tara talk about it a few times. I invited Tara to join us but she couldnt come, but she told me to say hi to the guy that owns it, Dean. Well I did and explained myself. and then explained again. he had practically no clue what I was talking about... prolly though I was some kid trying to get free drinks. grrr... But it was fun. we got there and there were, maybe, 10 people there. we settle down in a booth-ish area and get drinks and talk about shit for a while. then we turn around and go Where the HELL did all the people come from??? It went from dead to hoppin in, like, 30 minutes. Brian and I took smoker-surveys and each got 2 coupons for a free pack of Camels. heheh. then it started getting a little too cramped so we went off. We went to this awesome place called Schiller's that served Northern European food. Everyone but me got the Welsh Rarebit. I got the Macaroni Cheese and Bacon. Quite interesting. Quite good! The four of us ordered wine. heres the awesomest thing about this place. They have HOUSE wine. 3 kinds - Cheap, Decent, Good (Red/White). so we got 1 half-carafe of Cheap Red and 1 half-carafe of Cheap White. for Cheap wine, it was pretty good. tho Im partial to White wine, the girls had white and Brian and I had Red. We enjoyed our food and wine, made a few toasts to - the night, us, Graduation. It was definitely a night I WILL remember. after Schillers we headed back out on the town (city). We found this cute little hole-in-the-wall bar (literally... Ive been in Bigger DORM ROOMS) and went in. Brian bought us all a round. him and I each got a glass of Jameson on the rocks. not bad, but I guess Im not one for on the rocks cuz I couldnt finish it. some of the patrons were starting to get kinda creepy so we left. Maggie borrowed my iPod for a while and we all chatted and stuff on the way back. got back around 3 AM.
Saturday was Songfest (pretty much Homecoming for the Spring Semester) so I stayed away from the Gym/Fields We were supposed to go to CBGBs to see the Flying Tsunamis but that fell through. so we all just hung out around here. Scott, Kelsey, Brian and I Moshed to Flogging Molly in the Hallway and room. it was glorious! we drank some more and just had a really good night overall. Sunday was a normal boring day.
the week was pretty normal. I got a VGA-2-TV converter thing. I can plug a VGA connection to it and it outputs both VGA and a Yellow for the TV. so I can mirror my VGA display on the TV now to watch movies in a better position.
Well I have a Science Conference to go to in Rhode island tomorrow. Paul and I are presenting the stuff weve been working on all semester. heres to luck!! Im gonna go finish that now actually. I wont be answering online, and I wont be back until Saturday (were staying in a hotel) Ill have my phone if anyone needs to get ahold of me. arright, Im out.
