correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think I've had a sad entry yet.
Well, I really do hate to break that good streak, but powers higher than I will it so, I guess.
I've returned to my beloved Shelton, CT for he T-Day festivities. was looking forward to a nice relaxing time with some money-earning Gas-jockeying mixed in (I'm a Citgo employee when I'm not doing computer work or College stuff). well I got more than I bargained for.
I got home alright on Tuesday. Tuesday and Wednesday were alright for the most part. After work on Wed. I went out with a few co-workers to see a band called Lumpfish play live. I had fun, got a little drunk, and went to my friend Ed's house after I was sobered up.
So I'm chillin' with Ed and his mom sounds hysterical calling for him all of a sudden. he comes back down with the phone and he has that "dear in headlights" look about him. he gets off the phone and we learn that our good friend Tara's (actually his girlfriend) mother was just found in a car accident.... not alive. So he's crying, I'm upset and trying to comfort him. after we compose ourselves I decide to Drive the 15 minutes up t Tara's house because I cannot let a friend go through this alone. I can't stand to know that she's practically alone and upset. we got up there and hung out with her keeping her calm and helping her through as much we could until about 3 or 4 AM.
I took Ed home and I came back to my place, and just couldn't sleep. I eventually passed out and was woken @ 12 noon to pick up my brother. My mother was surprised and upset when I told her what had happened. the Actual T-Day stuff was pretty routine. Went to my Aunt's. enjoyed most family company. ate a ton of food (like the Italian's we are) and sat around watching movies until I had to leave for work.
Work was boring and uneventful (as per usual). afterwards I went to my friend's house for a Tara-centered Gathering. I think we really helped her a bit. she smiled, she cried. she was OK
So I be back here now, contemplating everything from the past 24 hours.
Also contemplating the fact that I'd like to acually meet some of the people that I talk to through this awesome service.
But then, that's someting for another day. until then, I'll hafta be going, there is work to be done.
:-D
