It seems that Bete_noir was deleted from existence/uberzotted. I'm hearing that it's because she called the decisions on the design of the new replacement SG site a "cluster fuck", an assessment I find it very hard to disagree with. I think they're fixing some of the things I've hated most about the site design here, but amazingly they seem to be breaking things far, far worse (and I'm talking about things broken by design, not "because it's beta"). Like the decision not to allow Hopefuls or SGs to choose who sees their "for friends" posts, short of blocking members completely. Maybe they'll reverse that decision (I suspect they may), but it's a bad indicator of where their brains are at.

I've long thought that the staff on this site are the worst. In general they're bitter, vindictive, and abuse their god powers. I've felt for a while, the only thing worth coming to this site for are the other people; the community, and the types of people that this community tends to attract. But there are other communities out there, they can't all be suckier than SG, and when I see the staff continue to be shitty to people I care about, I contemplate going there. Most everyone I actually give a shit about is congregating at an FB group for the moment, and talking about where else we could form a community, complete with threads and pictures of ta-tas.
