Just got the invoice back from previous property managers, against our security deposit. Was hoping to get some back, but the total was $2957.07 against our deposit of $2050 (leaving a balance owed of $907.07).
A couple shots of Bulleit Burboun helped me get back to a relatively relaxed state.
Most of the items on the invoice, unfortunately, are relatively reasonable. I do have issues with about ~$400 of it (which would still leave me with a balance of about $500, but hey, that's better than $900...).
Most of the real damage is due to having had three kids, two of them quite small at the start, at that house for several years. Crayon drawings (and smeared wax containers from those cute, tiny little cheeses at Costco, which we subsequently learned not to purchase) can be a bitch to the walls. And they had to repair some heating units due to some crayons and candies being found inside them, apparently.

ateh:
Yikes. Just when you probably really could do without spending an extra grand somewhere, too...
