i thought the weekend was going to be a bust, but it has turned out to be alright.
friday night i was in raleigh for my cousin's wedding. the rehearsal was fucking terrible. the bride and groom were a half hour late and we only had an hour before we had to be out of the chapel because another rehearsal was scheduled right after theirs.
after the rehearsal all the snotty old ladies and their redneck husbands, whitney's bitchy friends, duff's idiot drunk college buddies and i packed it up and headed to a restaurant and brewery for dinner.
i had quite possibly the best filet i had ever consumed in my life...and it was free which made it even better. a guy sitting at my table decided to get the restaurant's sampler of the specialty beers they make. i laughed the entire time while some dumb jock tried his best to choke down the dark beers. it was hilarious...what a pussy.
the wedding was equally terrible. hardly anyone showed up, but my aunt and uncle were still stuck with all the fancy food and expensive bouquets, programs, and favors they bought for the deal. sucks for them.
the hilight of the entire trip was watching 'the shining' in the hotel room with my mom on friday night. it was a grand time.
last night was a good time. the lovely sindy666 and hubby marksy were kind enough to invite everyone from sgc over for a good time in their beautiful home. i was totally smashed but managed to maneuver quite well around the gaps in their deck slats in my stripper shoes. and for that i should be your hero. cue the foo fighters.
today's been quite relaxing so far...slept late with jonathan and had an old friend over for lunch. tonight's shaping up to be a good time as well.
mission accomplished...my weekend was salvaged.
