I have this strange fascination with zombies. For like the last year I've been digging them more and more and it's only gotten worse inthe last couple of months since more zombie movies have been out and having stumbled apon The Zombie Survival Guide. Quite entertaining! So my new favorite game I play with my love (because he's too intimidated to play Scrabble with me- HA!) is to discuss at length how to survive a full Zombie infestation. He's wonderful and humors me by going over it in detail, though it's worn a little thin.
I think I like the idea of the sudden end of civilization. Of course, in my little fantasy world it's more a Night of the Comet type of ending- I get plenty of mall-raiding time and my loved ones are still alive. Then after glamorously killing off a few naughty little zombies (you see in my fantasy they're the slow moving type of Zombie and easy enough to outrun or slaughter- they eventually will starve to death but are fun to play with in the interim) my group and I make our way to some remote area of Canada where we begin our new Utopian society. None of those meanie Mad Max biker raider bad guys in MY fantasy!
I think it started when I was little and saw some movie (I have no idea what it was but would love to see it again) and some Twilight Zone episodes that were about a person or small group of people walking outside to realize that, for whatever reason, there is no more civilization. No destruction to property, just no people. The zombies are just added for a bit of adrenaline. We all need a good challenge now and then, and it will feel good to have earned my utopia by having fought for it!
I wonder what it all means....

voiddragon:
Why is it that people in zombie movies have never seen a flippin' zombie and don't know what to do to kill em?

Or like in Shaun of the Dead, our friends are turned into zombies... but we can still play videogames with them. Sorry if I spoiled that for everyone!
