Today is the memorial day of the greatest American to ever walk the earth. Indeed he is one of the greatest men who have ever lived.
Norway has had Olav the Holy, Magnus Lagabte (Magnus the Law Maker) and Fritjof Nansen. But none of them was worthy to lick the boots of this guy.
Yes I am talking about Dr. Martin Luther King jr.
I suppose you all know about him. Not only was he a great leader for the American Negroes (Dr. King called himself a negro and was proud of it, so don't give me pc-crap about me being a racist for using the word), but he was a shining example for mankind. His speaches are still valid for us today.
Listen to this:
"God didnt call America to do what shes doing in the world now. God didnt call America to engage in a senseless, unjust war as the war in Vietnam. And we are criminals in that war. We've committed more war crimes almost than any nation in the world, and Im going to continue to say it. And we wont stop it because of our pride and our arrogance as a nation."
This is an ecxerpt from his "Drum Major Instinct" sermon. Read it in full HERE, or listen to it HERE.

And you know even tho it is a holiday or supposed to be one I am still going to work as with most americans , today is a national holiday in name only . which only proves we have a long way to go till we truely can make Dr. kings vision a reality. perhaps when Tookie went to heaven he gave Dr. King a progress report.
