spent the long holiday weekend in ny with my man...
thursday morning-we made it to the city for the macy's thanksgiving day parade.

it was fun to watch up close and in person; i've only ever watched it on tv. but i would have preferred to have nicer weather for it...5 hours standing in the cold and rain...i'm grateful to still have all my fingers and toes. we ate thanksgiving dinner with his family. yummm...i stuffed myself, cuz thanksgiving is the best holiday meal of the year...all those yummy carbs...potatoes, sweet potatoes/yams, stuffing, rolls...and then the turkey which puts you into a coma. but ohhh so worth it! then to top it off, there's the pumpkin pie.

friday evening, my man worked sound at a steely dan tribute gig, so i got to sit at the bar and read my book while they set up, and i had a few drinks while the band played. they were pretty good.

saturday evening we ventured back into the city for a sunset view of the city atop rockefeller center.


at the disney store, i had my picture taken with goofy.
we walked around the city a lot, and climbed numerous sets of subway steps.
we ate pizza at lombardi's, the first pizzeria ever in the us.
my favorite part of the evening was revisiting coyote ugly! i have a new crush! NYC Coyote Vina Vina tried to get me up onto the bar to dance, but i declined on account of not being drunk enuf yet...so she persuades me (didn't take much persuasion) to order a shot...so of course, i order a shot of cuervo. with that shot comes a lime...but i have to retrieve it from between her teeth with my teeth. my bf glenn said it looked like i was going to kiss her...after 3 or 4 shots, i was drunk enuf to kiss her. *sigh* i didn't though...my loss. and no, i never did get up on the bar and dance. mebbe next time...who's coming with me?
