We have Bamboo now, but we haven't buried him yet.
There was a mix up at the vet and we got another cat's body, we had to search the phone book for the vets number and after an hour or so we got him.
I left school early to bury him. We weren't going to open the bag, but we did anyways, mom had to look 'cause I couldn't (what it is is that they freeze the animals and have them in bags, so we hadn't seen the animal inside the bag up to this point). I was terrified he'd look all horrible.
The cat we saw wasn't bad, but it wasn't Bamboo.
We frantically called the vet, who we knew was closed. We searched in the phone book for both vets numbers. We finally got one of their wives, they called her husband, he called his co-worker and one of them went to the clinic and double-checked for Bamboo. When he thought he found him, he called and told us to come on up.
We brought the other cat back.
We had to double check and make sure it was Bamboo. He looked like he was sleeping. He was so beautiful, even frozen he was just beautiful. Our sweet little baby boy.
I just sat there and petted him in the car all the way home. His fur was still so soft.
I can't say it enough, he was so beautiful.
We're trying to let him thaw out now, so he's not buried yet. It may not be 'til in the morning.
Our beautiful, sweet, wonderful little boy.
I got photos with my cell phone, maybe that makes me creepy... but I'm not going to post them here, anyways. It's just the last time I'm ever going to see my sweet little boy. I can still remember him in the car that morning.
I'll probably delete the photos I got after I've had time to get used to it.

Wow! I would be so pissed! I'm glad that you finally got everything straightened out and got your baby where he needed to be. I love you, girl, let me know if you need ANYTHING!
