I finally had my lucky break, and I think this one is actually going to work out... unlike when I thought I was lucky with Lane Bryant and whatnot.
I got hired at Macy's! Wooh! I'll be working in the kid's department.
I've been dying to get into retail, even though I know sometimes it's totally sucky... like the day after Thanksgiving, but I seriously hate McAlister's so bad.
I actually had served the guy interviewing me and his co-worker at McAlister's, and the lady had asked me questions and then told me to apply if I wanted because they were hiring for seasonal and that she'd be looking for my application. I thought about it, told myself no, then after putting it off a couple days went on and did it.
I got the call back, but then my phone died so I lost the number...that day... haha. They tried again yesterday, I told her I'd come in today and then the guy took me in the office, had a very casual and fun interview with me, and then was telling me the position he wants to hire me for.
It's not official yet, but they want to actually hire me for a full-time position. He just couldn't offer it to me yet because the lady is pretty certain she's moving, but just he has to wait a few days on it. So right now I'm seasonal, but he kept talking like if that lady leaves the full-time job will be mine. I'm trying not to get too excited because I have horrible luck, but he was really great about explaining it. So, fingers crossed!
I've been dying for a full time position forever, and for a job in retail if nothing else (HATE foodservice!), and now I'm getting both, hopefully. He said they would try to work out a schedule for me to go to school next semester, and when the time came to talk to him... that is, if I get the full-time job.
So, hopefully things are gonna work out great.
And in an hour I'm going to meet my (other) ex-boyfriend, Zach, and see a movie with him.
However, I hope he doesn't try anything like he did the first time we dated because my heart is really set on getting Rob back. I'm all for casual dating for a bit, but my heart is set on Rob... call me crazy, but I just know he's the one for me. I was going to have a serious talk with him last night, but that's when Zach called (right when I was about to call Rob) and I couldn't get him off the phone...augh. Then I think Rob fell asleep waiting... haha. Hopefully we'll talk tonight, and things'll work out
