Tomorrow (technically today) I'm off to San Diego and then to Las Vegas for a couple of business trips, so I'll be away from winter for 2 weeks.

So there was this article (I"m too lazy to find the link) that said that today (Jan 24th) is the most depressing day of the year. Well they're wrong.
How can a day be depressing when you're surrounded by great friends, great sushi and great drinks. There's not much that wouldnt have mady me birthday better.

I'm sooooo glad the '80s came back. They had some kickass shoes then but I was too young to have them. Now I can buy so many pretty shoes. And don't even get me started on the shoes from the '40s and '50s.

I found out today that my new SCION XB landed in Portland on Dec. 9th and it takes about 10 days to reach here. Hopefully it doesn't take too long to install after-market products because I would like to have my new car by Christmas.

i found out, finally, that i'll get my car this thursday. so i'll be driving to visit the family in style for christmas.
i'm not sure what it is but i don't feel like it's christmas. i have no desire to put the christmas tree up. i feel like i'm being forced to buy presents for people that i don't really care for (co-workers). the year flew by, i didn't get a chance to spend time with the family during thanksgiving.

I might be perking up a bit about Christmas (the tree is at least assembled) and I purchased some gifts for a couple of friends of mine and managed to wrap them.
I can't get out of the forced gifts (office politics), but it might not be so bad since most of it will be postponed until after Christmas.
Things are looking up....because I'm watching Lewis Black and damn if I can't stop laughing.
