Well its another friday night in which I sat in the house and did nothing.
I just finished watching "Winter Passing" with Zooey Deschanel, Ed Harris & Will Ferrell. The film was pretty good IMHO, the fact that I think Zooey is amazing made it even more so. I am also beginning to respect Will Ferrell a lot more after seeing this movie and "Stranger than Fiction" (which my aunt worked on). I can finally see past his silly characters and realize that he has a broad range of acting talent.
I also picked up a few new books today - Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. From what I know it is a vampire series, and it was recommended by a lot of people so I figured I would start on it. I also picked up Dreamsongs Vol 1, which is a collection of my favorite author George RR Martin's early works, and another book called Stupid History - Tales of Stupidity, Strangeness, and Mythconseptions Throughout the Ages - which just seemed like a fun little thing to read between novels.
I also joined Lifetime Fitness today. I was planning on joining a gym in the next month but since they had a special going on 45% off the intro price, I splurged and joined up. The monthly dues are pretty expensive, but considering what they have to offer, its not that bad. Besides, my cell phone bill is usually higher than the monthly fee, and I cant really complain considering it will cost me about 2.5 hours of pay.
Its pretty funny, as of late I have been using a new system for deciding if I am going to buy something. I start calculating in my head how much the item is, how many hours of work it takes to earn said amount, and wondering if i actually want to work those hours for that item. I never used to do that.
Well, im going back to making decks for a tourney tomorrow. tty
