EDITED ! ! ! ! !
Well, my luck seems to be changing!
I have been meaning to go to Best Buy for the last week to check out prices on a small home stereo set for the tv I play my XBOX 360 on. I just couldnt stand playing without surround anymore. I took my 360 into the back room so people can watch movies on the big screen w/ super surround in the front room, while I play vid games, and i really missed the sound. So i figured since I was making some good extra cash lately I could spend $175-250, possibly $300 considering I had a $50 Best Buy gift card.
(pic below, nevermind whats on the tv...)

I also wanted to go today to pick up my pre-ordered copy of Assassin's Creed, which I was going to use the said gift card on, and since they didnt have them in stock yet, I started strolling down the 'home theatre in a box" isles. I looked at a bunch of cool systems, but the only ones with good HDMI capabilites were really expensive, so I went down the "open box" isle to see what they had.
Well, I came across the following, exactly how i have it pictured sitting in that isle

well, that price looked really fishy, as I saw the brand new ones priced around $535 or something like that. So i went to get a sales clerk and asked him if he could explain what was 'wrong' with it. The minute he saw it, he had that look like "mothafuka!" Well, he told me the price was so low because the unit didnt have the receiver when it was priced, and another sales clerk forgot to update the price when the receiver was brought back from wherever it was. He looked pretty pissed at his staff, and he said that if I wanted the item, he would have to give it to me for the $249 price. I was like - FUCK YEAH! I also got the 4 year extended warranty for $39 instead of $80 because of the lower price. He looked it up on the computer, and told me that Best Buy purchased the item for around $335 and they actually lost around a hundo on the sale. He also expressed how mad his store manager was going to be at the staffer who didnt re-label the item.
Well, I really dont care how made he was because I just got a pretty slick deal, $235 off...
It looks like lady-luck is back on my side!
EDIT:
Well, I hooked everything up last night, and the receiver didnt not work! I guess they never really fixed it. That was the only thing in the box that was "open". So I went in the store today with the whole shebang, and asked them what my options were, and with a little bitching/sweet talk I managed to have them switch the bad receiver for a new one straight out of another box! So, this is an even better deal as I basically got a totally brand new system, basically just the box was opened, for more than 1/2 off !!!
