Hello world :3
once again, it has a rediculously long period of time, so customary apology pic:
almost have abs. so close.
Now that I have your attention, a little summary of what's happened since my last blog:
@radeo's visit
It was a weekend filled with adventure and safaris and naked ladies, and of course, amazing people. It was an amazing experience getting to meet new people, and see some familiar faces <3 I won't write too much on this week as you've probably seen it all from the other girls' blogs.
The big move
My partner and I finally took the plunge and got our own place together. We found a spacious loft in a beautiful Golf estate in Northern Johannesburg. There is nothing quite as rewarding as having a little space you can call your own.
Work
Shortly after we moved I got a crappy retail job doing sales in a computer parts/repair shop chain. the hours were rediculous the pay was worse. I lasted 2 months which was qite an achievement for me, but I kinda broke down and quit after I didn't get any sleep for close to a week xD
Cosplay and Conventions
There were 2 conventions that have passed recently;
Kin Con was a smaller convention that happened around the end of August. It was my first time going to a cospaly event outside of rAge, and it was pretty fun. because of my crazy work hours, I rewore Moxxi, and made a formal version of her for the cosplay ball that was that same night(ain't nobody got time to scrub clown makeup off in a public bathroom)
rAge is the biggest convention of the year in South Africa. If you've been following me on instagram you would have seen my costume progress starting in february already xD ad despite that, I still manages to procrastinate so hard that I was up till 5am on the day of the costume's debut. It was my first time cosplaying for all 3 days straight, and it is so exhausting.
I cosplayed as Moxxi(again) on the Friday, as Daenerys on the Saturday, and Erza Scarlet - Flame Empress Armour on the Sunday.
Risking New Ventures
When I quit my crappy job at the computer store, I at least had a backup plan. I have been taking photos for some local cosplayers here and there for fun, and people actually wanted to pay me for my work, so I decided to take the risk and take on cosplay photography a little more seriously. So far it has been so much fun, and I can see my work improving with every shoo, which is so exciting^^ I don't want to post pictures here without the cosplayer's consent, so here's a link to my page. I don't know where this will go, or how far it will take me, but right now I am loving it, and who knows, maybe I'll expand my horizons :3
That's about it, if I forgot anything, it's an excuse for another blog, right? What have you guys been up to these last few months? anything exciting happen to you? :3 I'm looking forward to catching up over the next few days ^^
And for you that have made it this far -
