I am still basking in the post Seattle trip glow, and realizing that I need to be there rather than here. When we told people up there we were from Texas, they actually recoiled in horror until we added that we were from Austin, that seemed to be our only saving grace.
I was talking to my mom about my trip, and she said, "Well, I have heard from everybody that up there in that Seattle there are I Hate George Bush posters everywhere". I didn't see any of that, I am thinking it is just kind of a given. Duh.
I spent the night at my man's house last night, and when I was coming home today I got stuck at a red light behind a truck. We had to scoot up several times before the light changed, and every time we did, this truck, (which was diesel and all tricked out), would just belch out this horrible black diesel cloud of filth that I could actually smell inside my car. I am not an environmentalist by any means, but that was just gross. Yay Texas, and the douchebags in big trucks that don't need them.
I am really, REALLY starting to wonder why the fuck I don't get out of this place. Texas sucks
