I think I am getting the first vacation I have had since '91 soon. The man wants to take me up to Seattle to visit his folks. They live on an island that you have to ferry over to from the city. I think we would hang out in the city during the day and go back to the island at night. Maybe cruise up to Portland or Vancouver. I have always wanted to see that part of the country, and God knows he has spent enough time with my fucked off relatives and been an extremely good sport about it. I am pretty sure one of my neighbors will come check on my kitties when I am gone, but the big obstacle is finding a good safe place for my doggie. This worries me greatly, as I have never so much as spent one night away from him in 6 years. Time to cut the apron strings maybe?

I found one place out in the country that is 15 acres of dog-frolicking fun, and from what I have heard the staff is great. Just please tell me I am not a horrible dog mom for deserting him for 4 whole days..........
