I know it might not seem like a big deal because so many people have been through so much worse but it is big for us because we have been in a drought for ages and have been on water restrictions for ages and now all of a sudden we have a massive flood I am staying safe though

The death toll went from 9 to 10 (climbed by another ) and there are grave concerns regarding 18 out of the 72 missing. Evacuation centres have been set up for over 3, 500 residents and it's only going to get worse by Thursday!
It's just so awful... and scary
They think the river near us might peak towards the end of the week, which means flooding for us. We've been blessed so far. A lot of my friends homes have already gone under in other areas... I wish the rain would just stop!!!

I had a quiet New Years as well. I spent it with a couple of friends away from all the craziness. I kind of like making new years more about reflecting than partying :-)
