Breaking new on the western front:
Lots of shit went down today, as I suspected. It is the end of a pay period tomorrow and I had a gut feeling that I would finally find out about the position I applied for in November. Well, after about four months, 2 postings of the same position but in different wrapping, about five months of no health care and lots of encouragement from my friends and co-workers... ... I did not get the job.
I was informed in a private meeting that "after 88 applicants we decided to pick a different candidate. We have plenty of need for you as sales or tech so you're welcome to stay until you find another job if you so choose. He starts friday and you can show him around the design stuff when he starts." I kept my composure rather well, considering I have a history of loosing it emotionally sometimes.
Anyway, that job wasn't for me anyway. Shit, anyone who read my blog a few weeks ago or hangs around me much at all knows that I ranted all the time about how overworked and underpaid I was and am. At least now I will just be underpaid and not overworked. Its a start. So hopefully I will move to the shop as a computer tech and start doing apple tech support soon. Who knows when that will be...
Moving on to more news:
Casualties during the continuing battles. My little Penwin (AKA- my russian dwarf hampster) seems to have an infection or growth of some sort that has become infected. We tried to clean it out as much as we could but I worry for her tremendously. Hopefully it will go away if we keep it clean. I don't know what I'd do if I lost my Penwin.
On to some minor good news I suppose. (I would hate to end on a low note)...
I created a short film for the Campus Moviefest entitled "C-Store Funk" with some of my fellow co-workers. We made it as an ad for the store I work for (obviously before I found out about the job). Check out: ourstage.com if you care to watch the video. It should be up for voting on that site sometime soon as well. ALSO, you should be able to view the movie at: Campus Moviefest 2008
Hopefully I'll have a smaller version made and upload it to my profile or to youtube soon. 'til then enjoy!

Thanks so much for your comments on my set in hopefuls, and your concern about my dog. She's doing much better now! I hope your little hamster feels better soon! I love rodents, they are so cute and sweet.
