Rosie the Riveter
And soon to be my new tattoo
She represented six million women who worked in the manufacturing plants while taking the places of their husbands, brothers, friends as they fought in World War II. Which I think is fitting for my mom. She played both the mother and the father role early on because my dad sure as hell wasn't. My mom gave everything she had to provide for me, and it still wasn't enough. But she always tried her hardest. There were times I go days without seeing her because she was always working. Whether it was babysitting or cleaning or any shitty job I was always proud of my mom and still am because even though she hated her jobs she stuck through them just to take care of me. My mom is one of the strongest, independent women I know and I will always love her and I hope with this tattoo I will be able to show her how much that means to me.
I already have one, angel wings with her initials
But I want to dedicate a half sleeve to my mom, which is why only my left arm is covered. Other than Rosie the Riveter, I plan on getting six old school roses for every decade of my moms life, she's 61 and doesn't show it. I also want to get the phrase "Dios, Unin, Libertad" which is spanish for "God, Union, Liberty" inside of a banner. It's the motto for El Salvador, which is our heritage. Those are designs and ideas I have so far.
The person I'm doing all of this for:
I LOVE this woman! I seriously need to get a current pic with my mother.
That's all for now,
Love the life you live.
PS
Hope everybody enjoys their Super Bowl weekend.
