Thanks for all the well wishes!
i'm getting better, still lingering a bit..
but i'm more than halfway better.
I was happy to discover this old trailer on youtube.
since its one of my favorite films and since Halloween is only weeks away
(and yes, i have pimped out this movie before)
i give you
"Don't Look Now"
the ending to this one still creeps me out til this day!
anyway,
i would ramble on, but i have to get ready for work.

and - i LOVE 'Don't Look Now' - what an incredible film. my girl and i do an imitation of the little creepy killer's shaking its head "no" all the time. there's an interesting story connecting that film and the Wicker Man - they were both being produced by the same studio at the same time when it was up for sale, and almost both got trashed when it was bought... i think they premiered on a double bill, actually...
anyway. lots of rambling there.
When the gondolas are mourning.
Gondolas mean gondolas, but the strange thing is the usage of 'Trauer tragen' which would normally relate to a person wearing something visible (to others, e.g. black clothes) to indicate that they are mourning. Well, gondolas in Venice are most of the time 'wearing black' so that the term 'tragen' could also mean something like 'transport' e.g. somebody who's mourning. Kind of mystic the choice of words but doesn't seem to relate to "Don't Look Now".
Probably the translation would have sounded stupid in German and raise some expectations which have nothing to do with a thriller. So, now, with that changed title, we would expect a tragedy of some kind ...
