Do you have a favorite Sidney Poitier film?
i have more than one,
but i'll always be a sucker for
"To sir with love"...the song too!
in other news, this week my cat fell into the toilet backfeet first
i wrote my first poem in ten years!
It sucked pretty bad, but i was stoked to actually have the impulse to sit and write one.
of course, this bizarre action made a bit of sense when i got my period the next day...
Fucking hormones...
and here i thought i just might be getting back into the groove and such.
I watched "The virgin suicides" (again)... still think its a beautiful film, even though it makes
me just a bit melancholy (which goes with my menstrual weekly theme of course)
also finally got around to seeing "Silent Hill"
so here's my review..
"HUH?"
what the fuck?
i don't get it...
D, can you rewind that part?
"Nope, still going over my head"
basically, i enjoyed the eyecandy and special effects, but the story didn't quite fully explain itself to me,
and i'm not familiar with the videogame, so i'm sure that didn't help.
oh well..
there is no booze in my house
so tonight this drunkard might be doing something quite obscene!
Like drinking tea...
lets see how this goes
xxoo Michelle
gonna try that whole link think... wish me luck
To Sir..

and i'm sober!

Here is a list of good affordable motorcycles within a short drive of your location. They're all middleweights from the 80s: Not too heavy, plenty of power but not too much power, and they're of the vintage when they were made reliable with things like electronic ignition, but not so modern as to be difficult to work on (no fuel injection or computers), plus parts are cheap and easy to find and insurance is uber cheap! I pay $75 a year!
KZ650
Great bike! The basis of my motorcycle, the KZ750.
KZ700
Also very similar to my bike, the 700cc engine was a "tariff buster". (Long story.)
Shadow 500
Pretty advanced for it's day: water cooled, shaft driven (no chain to adjust), 6-speed transmission, 3 valves per cylinder. This engine was also offered in the Honda Ascot 500, which was favored by London couriers who often put half a million hard miles on them with few problems.
Magna 500
Similar to the 500 Shadow, but with a V4 instead of a V twin.
Maxim 650
Similar to the KZ650, but made by Yamaha. Featured shaft drive.
GS650
Also similar to the KZ650 and the Maxim 650, but made by Suzuki. Also featured shaft drive.
What's that? You say you don't know how to ride a motorcycle? Don't let that stop you! These people will teach you how to ride the correct way. You get a day of classroom instruction, then a day putting around in a parking lot on a small (like 250cc) motorcycle that they provide.
I've been riding motorcycles for 31 years now, and few things have brought me as much pleasure and satisfaction!
you wrote a poem????
thats awesome. i miss the creative impulse
and no, no place i've been wanting to check out. i havent been out in like 2 or 3 years. i'm a bad host new yorker. i know nothing, nothing
