Had a great time this weekend!
Friday i took the train in to meet up with Holagatita to have some dinner and take in a movie...
Dined on some indian cuisine and then saw a documentary called "El immigrante", which was good but not great. A little slow at certain points, and it didn't help that the theater felt like a sauna, and my legs were sliding off the chair due to all my sweating..
but Holagatita was excellent company!
She is such a sweetheart, and so wonderful to talk too...
plus she has a killer smile
next day, i met up with her and SurlyMike (awesome guy who was one of the first ten people to befriend me on this site) we took in a film called "Down in the valley" with Edward Norton and Rachel Evan wood, again...the movie was good, but rather slow in some parts and could have had about thirty minutes easily shaved off of it.
Of course the love story was a bit unsettling as Rachel Evan Wood still looks to be about thirteen
I was also excited to finally meet up with Mike, as he has always been such a great friend to me on this site, and i was not disappointed with his company. I felt like i had known the two of them forever.
We made our way to an Ethiopian restaurant, where we met up with Testykitty and her mexican...
they were in town looking for apartments.
Great time chowing down food, chatting, and a lot of picture taking ensued...
except for me as i don't have a camera...
and Testykitty had the most beautiful eyes!
her and her lovely mexican were great company also, though im sure we aggravated a few patrons with our paparazzi corner of phototaking, our table was like a constant strobelight show
Dorwayin managed to meet up with us after work for a cocktail...
and then sunday morning we met up with Hola and Mike for some breakfast...
So much eating this weekend!
But the company was worth the lack of sleep constant traveling, and the gum that got stuck to my ass while sitting on the subway en route.
I hope to one day meet up with these folks again...
second weekend in a row that i got to meet some fabulous people from this site!
and i didn't even get tanked!
now i'm going to see if i can persuade Alyk and Smuffy to meet up with me soon to see "Hard Candy"...
sooo.... how was your weekend?
xxoo Shelly

They gave us a trial of it a few weeks ago, and it really seemed to work. We had about a week though inbetween the trial and when we officially "put her on it", and since then it hasn't seemed to do squat.
I honestly don't think we're at the putting down stage.
For instance, this morning, when I got her up to go outside, she laid down in a couple of spots and got herself back up again.
But then she shat herself again last night.
Errr. Don't know what to do.
And I think there's something else too. I think it might be one of her fatty tumours strating to impact her spine/hips/major nerves.
Something like that.
And we get to see our fav doctor this morning.
