Well...
managed to get tomm. off from work so i can get into Cambridge fairly early and meet up with Holagatita before the movie starts
I'm looking forward to meeting her as well as SurlyMike and hopefully Testykitty too!
of course, i'll be taking the train in as most of you know i don't dare drive the highway.
I'll be doing this amazing feat stone cold sober so that i pay attention and don't miss my stop
All in all... i have a good vibe about this weekend.
strange how nervous i seem to get when meeting up with folks in person for the first time.
I'm kind of geeky like that.
So... humor me and take my little survey, so that when i get home all grumpy from work tonight...
i have a little reading material.
1) Mamie Van Doren, Jayne Mansfield, or Marilyn Monroe?
2) Do you like ol black and white films?
3) If so... what are some of your favorites?
4) Ever see "The Wild Bunch?
5) Who's a better horror director.. John Carpenter or Wes Craven?
6) Should Joan and Melissa Rivers stay off the red carpet come oscar time?
7) Top three of your favorite 80's teen comedies?
8) Do you have a favorite documentary?
9) Do you have any favorite cult film stars from the seventies?
10) How about favorite vampire film?
in other new... its irishinchs birthday!
Even if you don't know him... wish him a great one anyway.. we finally got to meet him last sunday night, and he was such a wonderful host and all around cool guy
and my man Dorwayin started up a group on here for Bonsai lovers!
i took a couple photos for the group, and i have to say... they came out pretty damn good.
I'll stop rambling for now..
but i will leave you with a couple quotes from one of my favorite actresses from yesteryear who is no longer with us (passed away in a plane crash)
Carole Lombard
for those of you who are not familiar with this lovely screen gem, she was married to Clarke Gable at the time of her demise.
They were very much in love.
However....
that did not prevent her from being, shall we say...
a little brutally honest regarding his uummm
shortcomings in the sack.
"If Clark had one inch less, he'd be the queen of hollywood instead of the king"
"God knows i love Clark, but he's the worst lay in town"
and Clarks response?
"I guess I'll just have to practice more"
