It's offical , school is in session. Have class Monday-Thursday nights. Hoping this semester goes well. The nursing school admission advisor told me that I have to do well this semester. Nothing below a B or it's pretty much over. Love that pressure huh??
My boy started fifth grade last week. This is a big deal since 5th grade is considered middle school in Strafford. I was really nervous about him having his own locker and changing classes but he has done well. His aide doesn't have to help as much as we thought. His teachers love him (who wouldn't ) and all the kids try to include him in as many activities as they can. Growing up I remember kids making fun of kids with disabilities. They were awful and just plain mean. I don't know if times have changed or if we are incredibly lucky but the kids here treat him like any other kid.

Yes he worked full time and every other waking moment was school. It was hard but he did it.

good for him, that's quite a big step for a kid. i'm kinda jealous since i never had a locker growing up. alas, it's the little things we miss when looking back...
