the weekend went by way too fast. the boyfriend came in thursday night around 9-10pm. i wanted him to experience some fast food that we don't have back in chicago, unfortunately i didn't know where the nearest in-n-out was, so we hit up jack in the box, which was yummy.
saturday we headed out to san francisco. first stop -- alcatraz. we pretty much made it just on time to catch our boat. my fault for waking up a little too late, and had to do some spanish homework that was due that day. good job on the procrastination sheena.
alcatraz was pretty cool. the audio tour around the jail cells was descriptive and informative. i enjoyed it. after alcatraz we took a cab down to union square walked around, and looked for a place to stay that night. we ended up staying at the Handlery hotel which was nice. king size suite..oh how i love big beds. we got some thai food at a place where the name is not coming to mind. we walked around, picked up a case of bud light and little shot bottles of raspberry vodka and sour apple schnapps. had a good night =]
sunday, we headed out to get some food, and ended up going to Tad's Steakhouse on Powell st. i ordered the country fried steak which was deeelish. the breading was perfectly crisp and the steak itself yummy. baked potato was buttery and soft, and the garlic bread was tasty as well.

afterwards set off to at&t park to catch the cubs @ giants game. pretty sweet park, very modern compared to wrigley. i love seeing how other baseball parks are [have only gone to wrigley, brewers, us cellular and now at&t park]. it's always a nice experience. we didn't stay long cause we were frying in the bleachers, and there was just an obnoxious person in front of us, so we decided to leave early. didn't get to try any of the ballpark food there cause we were still pretty stuffed from our lunch. after we left, we left for japan town. didn't stay there long, we were getting tired and crabby. after japan town headed for haight-ashbury area. just walked around, didn't really go in any shops, cause now we were just tired and hot and pretty much just wanted to go home and relax, which is what we did. we got to the bart, headed back, then got some delicious food from Hawaiian Drive-inn on Encinal in Alameda [if you have not gone there, and you have the chance, PLEASE DO IT.] i freakin love hawaiian drive-inn, i'm hooked to their bbq chicken musubi and macaroni salad. everything else i've had there has been really good, too. i'm glad my bf liked the place [so much that we ate there 3 times for his whole stay]. ended up grabbing some food there today as well.
now it is about 845. i'm doing laundry and am sad that he is on his flight home =( i will miss him a lot, already do. he said he'll visit me again, and next time, we'll just relax together, and not do so much touristy stuff, which is fine by me =]
oh we also found a Beard Papa's and i was super excited. i finally was able to try one of their famous cream puffs which was absolutely yummy. i am definitely a fan of cream filled pastries...cream filled anything for that matter =p

YUM. i could definitely go for one right now. mmmm.
oh yeah. we went out to watch Pandorum last night. i liked it. it was scary-ish in the beginning, but the frightening parts wore off, but it was still enjoyable. i still really wanna watch the surrogates, and a few other movies in theaters.
in other news. i broke my pot cleanse last night and smoked with the bf. ah what a good feeling. makes me wonder why i was even cleansing
[then i had the munchies and ate half a bag of caramel popcorn, a leftover chicken musubi and 2 cool mint oreos..which btw...ARE THE BEST FUCKING OREOS EVER. they really did have a "cool" mint flavor to them. they tasted like girl scout thin mint cookies...but kind of better, cause they're oreos! so good.
well i don't like writing blogs too long cause then i know people get bored and eventually stop reading [cause that's what i do.] so i shall end it here and finish up my laundry.
