don't you just hate it when you go for a job interview and it turns out to be a big waste of your time?
i applied for a job as an 'office assistant' and the ad stated that the starting salary would be from 18-22k. ok so i get an interview for 11am this morning. i take the bus there... which is a little over an hours journey and find this grotty little office under an estate agents that is about the size of my bedroom with 10 people working in it. there is filth on the floor, bits of paper, dirty cups and plates everywhere and it's about 100 degrees. the guy comes out and starts the interview in the office with everyone else working around us and just says 'tell me something about yourself'... that was it, after that he didn't ask anymore questions related to the job or tell me anything much about the job, when i asked the salary he said 17k and he didn't even know how much holiday i would be entitled to, when i asked when they were looking for someow to start he said 'i dunno... maybe in a couple of weeks', and that was it, either they are completely unprofessional and have no idea what they are doing or they just didn't like the look of me. but after makig an effort to look smart and wasting half of my day they should at least coduct a proper interview. aaaarrrrggghhhh!
anyways, i have 2 more interviews this week, both for better companies. so hopefully i can get something permanent soon.
i got addicted to watching veronica mars, i am halfway through series 1, it's kinda like twin peaks minus the weird stuff plus buffy minus the vampires... why do i always get sucked into trashy TV programmes?
only a week and a half until snakes on a plane comes out. yay!
how is everyone else today?
