mondays are rubbish. especially when you work a shitty job. i wish i didn't spend almost every waking minute wishing the time away. also some job satisfaction might be a plus. i applied for a few new jobs over the weekend so fingers crossed.
i went to see the hills have eyes on saturday, i quite enjoyed it actually despite it being a remake which i am generally opposed to. although i don't know if anyone is familiar with the peckham multiplex but that place is a hole, i went to the loo and there was no toliet paper and there was banana squished all over the floor. i'm just glad it was so dark in the cinema that i couldn't really see where i was sitting. not recommended even though it is cheap.
then the next day i went to see the proposition. IT WAS SO AMAZING YOU HAVE TO GO AND SEE IT!. definately one of the best films i have seen in a long long time. the acting was really good, especially john hurt hamming it up as a bounty hunter and ray winstone was also really good. i like how unapologetic it was also, australia was not a nice place to be at that time in history and its well portrayed here. its not romanticized in the slightest which is the tendancy with similer american films. it brutal and unflinching and also incredibly honest. the soundtrack is also pretty good too. all in all a deserving film of a few hours of your time.
also, i love banksy. what a shame this got painted over so quickly...
