I am totally skint. No pennies and a huge fuel bill ment that I had to put my much loved vintage Silver Cross pram up for sale, as it was the only thing worth money that I could sell to keep my children warm this winter (I know, I know, everyone has money worries but the rest of this story sucks man.....It SUCKS!)
So, anyway. I put the pram up for sale and find a buyer. ''I'll give you 260 for it'' he says. ''Sold!'' says I.
''As I am from Cyprus, I will send you 2 USPSO'S worth $825 each. You cash them, take out your 260 and wire the rest (717.23) to my curriers, as they are collecting several items from the area''. ''Ok'', says I, ''I will just go and put them in my bank. I will have to wait untill they clear before you can have your pram mind you''. ''Of course'' he says.
So, I put the checks in the bank. A week later my account is credited for just over 1,000. I take my 260 and pay my fuel bill. The remainder, I take to my nearest Western Union and wire to the guy's shippers. Then, today, AFTER my bank ok'd the funds and credited my account, they discovered that the postal service orders were counterfeit, and that they would make me pay. But wait, it gets better! because the rate of exchange between the pound and US Dollar has improved in the week since they cleared the checks, what was 1017, is now 1071.71!
Greedy, cheap arse, scamming f**kers have actually ruined not only my day, but my year (as that is how long I will have to scrimp for to pay it back), mt credit rating, and my childrens Summer holiday is no longer gonna happen! Swines! I curse you!
My bank also! Because, why on Earth did you credit my account if you had not recieved the funds yet?! WHY!? AND! Why didn't you tell me that it had yet to clear properly!!??? If I had been aware that the money was not REALLY there, I would not have taken it out!!!!!! WHATS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!!!!!????

ah that sucks SO much. I hate people who scam other people and clearly don't think about the consequence of the people they're fucking over. And definately agree with yu on the huge fuel bills; they are royally screwing me over last few months. Hope you get some from somewhere lovely x

Thanks guys. I feel a lot better today though, as I have complained to my bank, and told them that it is THEIR resposibility, that THEY cleared the checks and THEY credited my account. So therefore, I refuse to be beholden to this dept as it appears that it was down to incompetence on their part. I really do believe this. If I thought it was my error in anyway, I would stand up to this, but it is theirs so thppuuuuffffftttt (thats me blowing a raspberry in the direction of my bank by the wat)
