Happy 2007 everyone! I hope everyone had nice holidays. I'm back from another crazy Christmas-New Year's time. I spent Christmas visiting my Dad in Gig Harbor WA state. It was my first visit to the Puget Sound area. The weather was mild and rainy, typical for the evergreen state. We tried to visit Mt Rainier, but the road was washed out from the recent wind and raind storms. Shortly afterwards, we went to visit Mt St Helen's, but the mountains was completely socked in by clouds. We knew it was there, but we couldn't even see it. Nonetheless, it was a fun Christmas. I did manage to find a few geocaches while I was down there.
My second part of my holiday was spent skiing in the beautiful Kootenay region of southern BC. We hit Red Mountain for 2 days, Whitewater for 1 day and the Ainsworth Hotsprings on New Year's day. Except for the last day, conditions were spectacular for skiing. I ran into Tink and Olver on the slopes of Red Mountain on the first day. New Year's eve was spent at an overcroweded boom boom club called the Element in Castlegar. It took forever to get drinks in that place. It wasn't my sort of thing, so I left at around 1:30am.
Anyhow, that's all for now. Back to my thesis so I can get to work and make some real bucks.
