Today I have an interview with a BIG OIL company. I'm a bit nervous, but more importantly, do I really want this job if I get it? Joining this company would be like joining the Empire, the machine. I'm worried I will loose my identity in such a big company. It's for a lousy office job, which was the last thing I wanted to do when I started this geology-thing. I would be stuck in a big city, complete with traffic, smog and cranky people in a hurry to get somewhere. On the other hand, this would be a great opportunity for me. They offer a great training (brainwashing?) program which I'm sure I would learn alot from. One thing is for sure, it's no outdoor adventure in the middle of no where like where I thought I would be by now. Life is about opportunity and what you make of it...I suppose.
