I recently connected with someone on snapchat who follows me on here and it's been a wonderful friendship so far. I am very happy to say that I have made some great friends from this website and it's more than I could have ever hoped for. When I joined suicide girls, I was hoping that I would be able to contribute something to the community. Whether that be through blog posts, or a simple photo, I wanted to be a part of it. Now that I am, I have met some really fun, intelligent, smart, funny, witty individuals. Im happy to call these people my friends.
Thank you all for being a part of this journey for me, and continuing to support me and show me nothing but kindness. I have not received one single rude or hurtful comment or message since I joined here. (I was very hesitant at first to post anything in case of that) Thank you for allowing me to be myself on here, free of fear of being judged, or ridiculed. I have received nothing but support and love from my followers.
To those who have reached out to me, thank you. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for taking the time out of your days to comment on mine and to encourage me to continue doing what I'm doing, and urging me to try different things. I see every single one of your messages, comments and likes on my photos. Every single one is special, and noticed. I feel so incredibly content knowing that outside of my friends at work and home, I have a community that I can turn to in times of sadness, uncertainty and stress. I am free to be myself here and it's such a wonderful feeling.
I encourage you all to pay it forward. It does not cost anything to pay someone a compliment, encourage or uplift someone. It does not dim your brightness to light another persons flame. So please, be kind to one another. Love one another. Be there for one another. You don't know how much a simple smile, text, message or compliment can mean to someone. I have come onto this website on some of my darkest days and have been overjoyed to open my messages to heart filled words. Words that someone took a few seconds out of their day to type. That's all it takes.
A few simple words could mean the world to someone else.
Take a few seconds out of your day to be kind.
We all have plenty of love to go around.
Please share it.
xx.
