About two months ago I trusted Michael with a very important task. I asked him to correct a mistake I had made on my FAFSA and to resubmit it as it was already several days passed the deadline when it was sent back for review (to Mike's address).
Because the grant money I recieve every semester is given out on a First Come, First Serve basis, it is extremely important to get everything in on time, because it's quite possible that the state or the school will run out a money before they get to everyone.
So,Mike corrected the mistake I had made, forged my signature at my request, put the form in an envelope, put a stamp and address on the envelope, and put the envelope in his truck, where I found it on the way to Big Rapids on Saturday.
...
Now, for the past two months I have been waiting patiently for my student aid report (SAR) to come in the mail, telling me how much financial aid I qualify for this upcoming semester (9 weeks from now, approx). Now I just found out that it never got sent, and so I might not be able to get the FinAid I need to go back to college.
Not to mention I don't have the money to pay my room and board payment as it is, so even if I am able to go back to school, I have no idea where I'll be staying.
...
I'm not mad at Michael. I know that he tried his best, and it's not entirely his fault, because I should have taken care of it myself. But I am very sad.
...
I just have to keep reminding myself that everything works out in the end. And that no, Mike did not not send my FAFSA corrections because he doesn't want me to go to school. I know he just forgot. I know he just forgot.
*sigh*

June 30th is the deadline, dear. I just sent in my original FAFSA about a week and a half ago. And of course I forgive you *loves*
