So I never post anything new here, figured I would today.
Since the last post, I've had a lot happen. My tattoo artist up and left the state without notifying anyone. I found out about it through her ex, who owned the shop she worked at. She evidently had a day off when he was working, and packed everything of hers, moved it, and then when he got home, he arrived to a nearly empty house, and then a text waiting for him, saying that she had found someone else, and left. So began my journey for a new artist, and i've found one that I feel will do the job that I wanted done. Mike Guidone from Monkey Bones Tattoo. If nothing else just check out his art, it's pretty amazing. My inspiration for choosing him was his batman tattoo, it had enough realness while maintaining some of the comic-sci/fi feel. That's what I wanted done for my star wars sleeve, and since the other arm is going to be comic characters and such, I figured he'd also be appropriate for that. Then I had my ex come to visit back in July, and well...that didn't end well. Let's just say it's really cold for a person whom you care about, to seduce you, make you believe they're still pure, and then a month later find out that the guy they were previously seeing had taken that purity long ago, and find out through a person she forgot she told. That was pretty intense. Then the only other major thing is that i'm working at best buy now, I got away from Wal-Mart finally, that was a much needed escape, haha.
My sleeve is scheduled for Nov 24th, and I cannot friggin wait. I'm practically bursting at the seams waiting for the time to come to check out what he's drawn, and see if that's what I want, and then have it done. He's saying that he could probably complete a full sleeve within two five hour sessions. Which would be pretty friggin sweet, seeing as how that'd be an even grand, instead of what my previous quote was from my old artist. I plan on having a half sleeve done within the session (save the underarm, i'm going to have it done, but I want it done seperately, so it can heal a little easier on me). I hate when people are like "yeah i've got a full sleeve", and then when they lift their arm, the under isn't done from their elbow up. Everytime I see that I just think they pussed out and didn't want to put up with the sensitivity, i'm basically just thinking, ya know i'm not all that tough, I can put up with pain for long periods of time, but if i'm in agony, fuck that i'm not lasting long. But I without a doubt plan on having my whole arm done, and i'm putting up with everything I have to, to accomplish that. The only thing I won't have him tattoo, is my armpit. I don't think it'd be necessary to have that done, not to mention i've always heard it can clog your pours and mess up your sweat glands pretty bad. I want a meaningful sleeve, not horrible reprocussions lol.
