How is Carnival in your region? Here in Brazil it varies from region to region. For example, in the southeast of the country you can find Carnival in the form of a samba school parade, it is a show of colors and joy, it works like a competition, but basically it only happens in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.
Going up the map a little further, in the north and northeast you will find Carnival parties on the street where people walk and play and dance behind a gigantic car playing live music, here we call "electric trio", I am not sure the translation of this term for English. But the musical styles most played in these places are axé, popular dance and electric music.
Regardless of the region I love the Brazilian Carnival, we have practically a week of Carnival holidays to believe? We Brazilians really love to party!
