This is an addition to my last post...
I ended up blowing off the Farmer's Market. I don't eat much at home now that I work the swing shift. I ended up riding into Hollywood to go to the bike shop. They're going to try and find me a bike and start a layaway plan.
LA is such a great town on two wheels. I don't care what anyone says. If riding a bike can make a saturday midday jaunt into Hollywood pleasant, that's all the proof I need. The weather was great, lots of tourists. Go See Do.
Some cool graffiti near Thai Town. I had two more shots, one of graffiti and one of a Buddhist shrine, but they got lost somehow.
I see this guy's van parked in various places around Silverlake. I can't tell if he's just an artist w/ an alt. lifestyle, a nutjob, or both? It's fascinating to me. I think it's beautiful. I want to talk to him some day.
I rode back across town to Echo Park to get some shots of the lotus before they wilt. The lotus festival was last week. I only got to go for a bit. Saw Taiko drummers and fireworks. This is the largest collection of natural lotus in North America, possibly S. America, too.
I got myself a mango paleta and after riding 12 miles, it was exquisite.

Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier. I had two friends visiting from Sweden. Small world isn't it. Some nice pictures of Echo Park and vincinity there. I've seen that crazy van crusing around Hollywood as well. Actually there is a few of those running around. When Justin gets back from France and you guys are playing again let me know, and please tell Nick I said Hello and I wish him well (I miss Popdefect). I'm still working at Headline on Melrose. If you happen into that part of town on Wed, Fri, or Sat. stop in I'll be there. Take care.
