All she ever seems to say
is come here, boy, go away
come here boy, go away
I'm glad to be working again, but it's definitely interfering with my art. Still not quite used to the schedule. I should get up earlier and do music in the morning. Until conditions allow me to be an artist full-time, I have to work my ass off like everyone else.
I really overslept today. I took a "spyn" class yesterday. Yup, one of those group exercise things where they play really loud music and an instructor makes you do sprints and yells at you. Endorphines, the body's valium. I know it sounds stupid, but I'm into it. It is really intense. I'm hoping that getting back to my regular workouts will get my ass in shape and lose all they weight I gained after my knee went out. I'd also like to be in fine form for the family reunion this summer.
I want to get a touring bike and go on more long rides. I want to ride from LA to Boston and then get a tattoo of a bike chain above my right ankle going around my leg. I want to do this in the next six years. I'm really happy to be returning to riding and being active again. I need to ride more.
I already know this is going to be another lost weekend. Friday, there's a going away party for a guy at work who's heading up to Alaska to work on a fishing boat. Saturday, there's a party at the Punk Haus for Misti's birthday.
I REALLY want to see Sin City, but I might have to wait until the crowd subsides. I actually want to see Dust to Glory, too. It's a title that has come through my work.
Everyone's walking around
staring into mirrors
making demands
with empty hands
saying 'never give up'
'never give it up'
is come here, boy, go away
come here boy, go away
