I'm taking a break on my homework. I'm trying to get as much done as possible before the SOX game. I know that it's a long shot and most don't care, but hey, it's a good distraction.
I haven't had a chance to fix the skylight on the ROCK VAN yet, so of course it's begun to rain. Now, don't get me wrong. I LOVE the cooler season here in So Cal. I just don't like driving a vehicle with a garbage bag & duct tape on the roof. But hey, it's my ROCK VAN. It will be soon restored to it's full glory once I get off my ass and go to pick-a-part & scavange a replacement cover. If that doesn't work, then I'm going to have to figure out some way to gerry rig it with some material found at home depot.
I'm still working on my rock lounge set. If anyone has any songs to suggest, I'd really appreciate it. I've learned about 40, but I'm sure I'll get nailed with requests once I start playing out. I think I'll do some busking this weekend. They said I could give it a shot at Footsie's next month. In the meantime, I'm getting a lot better. My singing and guitar playing have really improved. It's fun.
Last weekend, I went out with Carter & Glen to Aotch Kotch, the finest family style Japenese restaurant in the city. If you're ever in Hollywood, check it out. It's killer. Yellowtail collar, tuna, albacore, tofu, Soshito peppers. Ummmmmm.
Saturday, I went to the Brewery's Art Walk. John & Julie were having people over at their place, Disgruntled Records. A free beer with every purchase. Saw some really cool art and some really fine baby ladies. There was even a room full of giant seahorses that light up & had plasma balls for eyes.
Sunday was recovery day. Rehearsal actually went well despite the fact that Foster hadn't shown. I don't know what to do about that fucking guy. I don't want to kick him out, but I don't want to have to deal with this shit anymore. Know any bass players?
Anyway, I should do some more reading before the game starts and I become even less productive.
