Got my unemployment check today. Woo hoo! So, I promptly went to the Trader Joe's and got a coupla bags o' groceries. That included the TJ aged spirit of McCallan. It's very good for $16 if you're a scotch drinker. I rationalize that it's MUCH cheaper than going out & drinking.
I'm so glad to have my motorcycle back. It's like getting my life back! And goddamnit, it feels good!
I tried to hook up with Leigh. She's got infections in both eyes so I've been driving her in her car to run errands. I'm trying to make up for all the favors I received when I was gimpy.
Unfortunately, Leigh blew me off. She might think I'm being so helpful because I'm trying to get in her pants. It would be nice, but that's not my motivation.
So, I'm just poking around the house. I'm getting a copy of Office for OSX from my pal, Phil. I don't have a word processor I can print from right now, making it very difficult to write cover letters for resumes.
After I pick up the disk, I'll run by Foster's place to see if he wants to rehearse some. Then, I'll probably run home and maybe do a little homework before watching crappy TV or a movie and then crashing.
Me need worky work.
Bleagh!

have a good rehearsal
Bi bim bop sounds good....
Scotch is an acquired taste and I don't think you should try it without being "introduced" by someone who might help guide you. It was like learning about wine for me. I had to find out what I liked, but I also had to learn how to appreciate it.
Scotch is very complex. It involves smoked peat moss as well as aging in a variety of casks. Each town has their own brand in Scotland and they're all unique. A glass of Scotch will often change in character from the first sip to the bottom of the glass.
If you like Irish Whiskey, you should have no problem adapting. Other whiskies would be kinda similar. Burboun, Canadian, Rye.
Aw man, now I'm getting all excited. Don't get me started. I might start talking about cognac! I'm off for a dram!
