I shaved my head. My aunt Katie is going through chemo following a double mastectomy. I sent her a photo and she flipped out. I hope she beats it. I know another woman who went through the same thing and she's been cancer free for eight years. Katie made me a quilt a few years ago. I sleep under it every night. She's been on my mind a lot lately. How to remain optimistic when facing a potentially fatal disease? I wish I could visit.
I ordered a couple copies of my birth certificate from Illinois. I want to get my passport renewed. I want to do some more exploring in Mexico.
The industrial revolution was the kiss of death. People aren't going to change as long as the oil flows and they can pay their mortgage. I want a hydrogen powered van. I want a house with solar panels covering the roof. I can't afford either and the van doesn't exist.
Get the theives out of washington. Complaining about losing your rights isn't unpatriotic. The thing that pisses me off most about this administration isn't what they've done, it's what we've permitted them to do. Evil, pure evil. Habeus Corpus, policing a civil war while the private sector profits, putting everything on special spending bills so the total doesn't show up in the budget. Why not rebuild the gulf coast and try and reverse the climate change? I think the cynics in power believe the rapture is coming and they should profit while they can. Well, they got part of it right.
I want to get my bike back from the shop. I hope the tranny is in good shape. I won't go into detail, but I don't have enough money to do all the work I would like. It's always a roll of the dice, but there's a chance the part we're leaving alone is OK and I might have some money left over.
I'm planning on another motorcycle camping trip in June with the mods vs. rockers. I also got an Akira poster for the Cretins clubhouse I want to drop off. I don't enjoy driving the van around town. I have to park four blocks away when I get home. Gas prices are absurd. I also have to be careful about bitching about SUVs when I drive a `78 Ford van. How else do you haul an upright bass around?
