Our show on Friday was great. We played really well and had a lot of fun. About half of the set was played with complete disregard to the audience. We just played together. We didn't get drink tickets, but we did get paid. I felt bad about not sharing with the other guys, but I did buy them a lot of drinks. I also paid for all the CDs and gas without asking them to contribute.
After we loaded out, we ended up at the punk house until about 5am. I ended up staying home the rest of the weekend painting the kitchen. I'm almost finished. I am anxious to get things back in order so I can concentrate on other matters.
Went for a bike ride with Eric yesterday. We stopped at Home Depot so I could get a can of paint. Then, we rode to Galco's Soda Pop Stop & I got a sixer of different cokes. Eric guided us up to a hill above Occidental College where there was a killer view. The weather was perfect and the skies were clear. After that, we rode home. You'd think it would be a huge burden riding around with a gallon of paint and a six pack of sodas, but I'm used to it.
I just signed up for the Harvest Literacy Ride. We're going to do the 55 mile ride in Ventura. It's $40 to regiister, but all the money goes to literacy programs. It fits in with my plan to affect the world more from my bicycle than my soapbox. I can't wait.
