I was excused from jury duty. I made it into a courtroom, but they never selected me. It was a case where a guy w/ MS was suing County/USC hospital because the bathroom door closer wasn't set right. The guy fell, his arm broke, and now he can't use a walker.
Was he the one who opened the door?
It's good I didn't get on the jury, because I'd still have to work at night and it would have been brutal.
I am working on an old film called The Third Secret. It's very good, set in England 1964. It's about a psychologist who's murder is made to look like a suicide. One of his patients is contacting all the other patients to try and find the culprit. The soundtrack isn't conformed to picture and it's taking me forever to work on. All the outdoor scenes have had the dialogue replaced and they didn't do a very good job. It's hard to sync up dialogue when the words said on tape don't match the words said on screen.
It's cool. I'm learning. I enjoy it. It's very challenging and requires a lot of patience. It sure beats the hell out of my old job.
There's a couple pool parties this weekend. Other than that, I am looking forward to doing some more work in the studio. The other guitar player is out of town the next two weeks. I should use the opportunity to come up with some new songs. We need to do a full-length recording soon.
I am also working on licensing my last three CDs on Pump Audio as well as a bunch of solo music cues I did for a radio station. My drummer has had good experiences with Pump in the past with his other band. I sure could use some extra income. It wouldn't hurt the ego, either.
Today, bikeride, dishes, studio, work.
