Getting Shafted!!
A friend and myself are starting a production company together. We found a broadcast equipment shop in Barcelona and ordered a shit load of equipment, costing shit loads of money. After having to wait a number of weeks everything finally arrived. However, when we were testing the camera we discovered that the recorded footage had a glitch in a number of takes.
We got back in touch with the company in Barcelona who said ..."yeah, no problem. Just send the camera back well pay the post and package. It will proabably take about a week or two to fix it. If we cant well send you a replacement."
so we send the camera back. they call us to say they received the camera. The weeks start to go by, and our phone calls to the store start to become more frequent. Weeks turn to months. Then we get a phone call saying that the company is going Bankrupt!!!! Fucking Bankrupt!!
The worst thing is ..... we had all of our order! I could have sent the camera straight back to the manufacturer
AAAAAaaaaaaaaaghhhhhhhhhh! fucking wankers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So now its off to the fucking courts
To see if we can recuperate the cash! and find out what happened to the fucking camera with the glitch. Which, as we are in Spain, is going to take like a fucking trillion years to get to the hearing after having to produce and fill out, a fucking gazillion forms and documents.
Oh well you live and you learn, but its definately turning into an adventure, thats for sure!!
