Where things are right now. My mom is out of ICU but she's still in the hospital. After talking to a nurse last night who also had head trauma, he said that the headaches could last for months. So I don't know where that is going to put us. she was bled for at least 40 minutes before someone was notified which is making it a little bit harder as well.

i did get a deposit from someone yesterday for the apartment next door. that is one weight that has been lifted off my shoulders.

I am hoping that my brother will do the right thing. he said last night that he may stay here and help mom and go to school. then he talked to his girlfriend. she didn't think it was a such a good idea b/c she doesn't think that michael and i are serious about moving my mom with us. i kind of want to say, you have only been dating a few months so you have no say... but i didn't. instead i offered my brother the ability to live in the house for up to 4 years rent free if my mom comes to fort lauderdale after getting care here.... he has been helping btw. a little quick to yell and get aggervated but he has been helping. i can only hope that he just continues to do so.

the house may not go thru. rather we may reject it if we can't get enough money back to fix some things, like a/c, hot water, tenting termite, and kitchen. the dryer feeds into the house to vent so..problems. however, we are still under 90 day approval. so... what may happen is we find another place. i'm leaning towards those townhouses on oakland b/c they are new and are having trouble selling them. i am going to negotiate a deal.
i will be back on sunday. i have to go to work. i can't lose my job at this point. though i know that i probably have already proven myself useful, they are running a business. if needed i will come home on the weekends and deal with the crap.

i am going to have to call a few numbers to see if i can get some emergency assistance for my mom today.

Hey all.

I just got in. So here is where we stand.

My mom is staying in the hospital, waiting for a transfer to Touro. She has temporal contusions with perspirations. Meaning that she still has blood around her brain and she needs a bit of therapy. There is hope of a quick recovery, meaning a month or so but they are not putting a time stamp on it.

Her stupid friend cut her hair. Which was a chief complaint of hers, but if you knew my mom, she doesn't even like when my hair is short. Part of the issue is she is concentrating on little things and the 'perspirations' are making it hard for her to focus.

I will probably be going to NOLA again in a few weeks. Perhaps to do a garage sale. But at least to see my mom.

Anywho. Thanks for all of the concern and care. I am sure i will talk to you all soon. I want to have a poker game/gathering soon. Relieve some stress!
