UPDATE

Life has been...quite real lately. Real and simple. I've been living day to day. Keeping my thoughts the most completely on every present moment that I ever have. It's...definitely something different for me; living outside of my head, my thoughts, and fully absorbing every moment for exactly what it is. Can't say I've done it before. I have three great friends...all under the same roof. The knowledge that I have people whose loyalty and love come with no conditions, that I never have to question, that's nice. Two are in Florida for ten days, touring and doing the musician thing. I've never been aware anyone's absence so much. I walk the dog, read, wait for my third roommate to come home from work, and spend the rest of the evening listening to music, or talking, or reading with them. For a while I spent a lot of time with some new friends near my own age, living vicariously through their....well, in short, "youthfulness." Uncomplicated and average...I may get used to it. I probably won't settle for it. But it is nice for now.
