So I know they say life never gives you more than you can handle but I'm seriously questioning the validity of that little adage. As if bedbugs, consistent lack of money and the general personal and professional shittiness of my life weren't enough, the ONE THING that gives me joy (my television) just fell over and cracked today. And I got a shiny sliver of hope (the warranty/protection plan was still in effect) only to have it dashed away when I got to the store. Apparently the phone operator was wrong and my plan didn't cover accidents (what did I have this plan for again if it doesn't cover basic fucking accidents?) so I still have to buy a new tv.
I've been trying really hard just to kind of make it through these past few weeks but it seems that every silver lining is followed by a shit ton of rain. I'm kind of over it. I just want to sleep until my life changes.
Good things:
This news quote: Alan Thicke was backstage at the ESPY awards with his son, Robin, and somehow ended up giving Gucci Mane a pep talk, after which Gucci reportedly said, ""Wait, was that the dad from 'Growing Pains'? Wow!"
My friend's mixtape and video: "Babysittin'"
