the gf is not "out" so its really difficult for both of us, i think
when we are in public, she doesn't even act like i exist
when we are alone, she's all over me
i dont understand and it hurts my feelings

From your journal entry it sounds like she likes you a lot but since she's not "out" she's afraid that if she shows you any affection in public she might be "outed" so she puts up a stone wall to ensure that the truth will not be revealed. I don't think it has anything to do with you and you should be patient with her.

well, not every gay or lesbian is comfortable being "out" or showing affection in public. If this is something you need in your relationship with her, then she's not the person for you. I know many lesbians who, although they are openly lesbian, don't show any affection in public....hell, I know hetro couples like that.

So really, maybe this has got nothing to do with her being "out" or not?
