I'm in my third semester of an intensive Nursing program and I'm just about to go completely mad! I absolutely love it and my favorite part is the clinical work we are required to do. I'm currently working on a Cardiac and Respiratory floor where everyone has basically just barely made it out of the ICU. I've already experienced quite a few heartbreaking moments and it's only been 3 weeks on this floor, but I can't believe how much I've learned. One of my favorite patients is a 50-year old woman suffering from chronic pneumonia spells due to a bad reaction to rheumatoid arthritis medication that wasn't researched enough and has been removed from all hospitals. Unfortunately, this woman was on it for 16 years before anyone realized the meds had reduced her lung function by 2/3. Anyway, she's in constant pain and can no longer take any pills designed for rheumatoid arthritis since they all affect the lungs so all she can take is Tylenol. Can you believe it? What I find remarkable is that she is always smiling and laughing. She mentioned to me that the disease has her body but that God has her soul and she can never forget that. Well, thank you, because now neither will I.
I've never considered myself to be one with any type of belief system. As of a few months ago, I've changed my entire thought pattern, not by choice but necessity. I can easily complain but my worst days today are far better than the emptiness I used to feel.
Otherwise --
I've had my first set go up in 5 years! I am so happy. I really loved shooting this set with p-mod as it was shot during an amazing time we spent together in Morocco. It had been my first time back there in 6 years. I really encourage you to go if you haven't.
I look forward to shooting some more.
I've been so into shooting others lately that even just going through my phone and Instagram I realized there's maybe one selfie for every 25 photos I post. Kinda sad.
Here's what I've been shooting:
The gorgeous Alectro, who's set Garden of Lust goes up in MR on Sept 30th.
Lee's last set in Montreal before she left us (again)! Hopefully she'll be back. This one is going into MR end of October.
And finally, a set I finished editing tonight.. This girl is a new hopeful and has just opened her profile. I'll promote her once her profile has been officially set up.
Vesta is still in MR.
If you or anyone you know is interested in a shoot, let me know!

Getting through nursing school is a lot of work but totally worth it. I have a few friends who are nurses and they love it. Awesome pics. Hope to see more
